The Saturday's car show is the sign off to the greatest week of the year, Mustang Week!  This is where the awards are handed and we find out who's the top in each class.  This year FRN jumped into the awards show and handed out five trophies.  It was also announced that the 2013 Mustang Week Mustang that was unveiled at Tuesday's Meet-N-Greet was sold and was already on the road being driven home.  Here are some of the highlights from the Saturday show along with the five FRN trophies winners!

The year was 1990 when 14 year old Michael Keithley from Columbia, Pennsylvania bought his first car.  While most kids at the time where skate boarding and playing first generation Nintendo (ask me how I know that),  Michael and his father were in the garage wrenching on his hot rod.  By the time Micheal turned 16 he had a sweet ride that he drove to High School and throughout College.  If you haven't figured it out by now this 1965 Mustang was that car!  After years of abuse from driving the car on a daily basis the car was starting to look rough.  In 2003 the car started a 10 year Restoration that was finally completed  this past April.

Tyler Houser cruises the streets of Moultree, Georgia in this 2012 V6 Mustang.  Like a fine tailored suit this Mustang is looking sharp with a GT front nose conversion, RTR front chin splitter and rear diffuser.  Roush rocker covers and an abundance of pre-painted matched piece round out the exterior. An Airaid cold air intake and Roush axle back exhaust rounds out the performance mods for this year.  The interior is touched up with chrome accents and a kicker sound system that Tyler added definitely came in handy on the drive to Mustang Week.  Tyler attended the Thursday drag night and is working on getting the suspension done so next year he can tear up the auto cross and circle track.

Ian MacIntyre from Miton, South Carolina has been busy in the garage building his '03 cobra.  bought two years ago stock.  Ian and a friend installed an Eaton  Posi Ported supercharger with a 2.8 pulley and a 4 pound crank pulley.  To help the engine inhale and exhale air into the engine a larger throttle body and plenum was also added.  When Powercurve Motorsports was done on the dyno, the car laid down 522hp and 548 pounds of torque.  The '03 Cobra laid down a 12.78 on street tires at the drag strip.  Since then Ian has added a set of long tube headers and Toyo R88 drag radial tires out back.  Now looking to knock his e.t. down rather than just the tires off at the line, Ian can't wait to head back to the track.

SCT performance was on hand both Friday and Saturday and they also came up with the coolest idea at a car show in the form of an SCT passport.  To be entered in to the SCT raffle you needed to take the passport to all the SCT dealers on the midway and get it stamped.  Once you made your trip around the SCT world you were to bring the passport back to SCT, where you were entered into a draw to win one of three cool prize packages totaling over $3000 dollars.

SCT had two of their racers at the SCT booth signing autographs all weekend.  On the left is 14x Champion Mike Murillo with his 3000+HP Outlaw Fox Body Mustang and Brad Gusler with his 950+HP Lightning Pickup.

This year Latemodel Restoration brought a big tent equipped with a large portable air conditioner and sitting area for the show.  If that wasn't enough, Latemodel was handing out free water and T shirts to anyone who stopped by.

This year Ford Racing Nation.com stepped up to the plate and handed out five awards.  We picked the awards that best reflects what we here at FRN are all about.  We take pride in quality of work and are proud to hand out awards to people who put effort, beautiful craftsmanship and  pride into their cars.  Congratulations to all five of our winners!
