Two racers, Chip Pike and Jason Lee have dropped the F1X in search for more power.  Chip changed to a 94mm turbo and with no testing has posted up a This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in the third round to take the number four spot.  Jason Lee feels his current engine combo has maxed out the power potential of the F1X.  Jason bolted on a Vortech XB105 and while still working on dialing in the new setup, is more then happy with the results to far.  In the second round of qualifying the car left soft, then picked the wheels up at the 60ft carrying them to the 330 before the car settled down.  Running a This email address is being protected from spambots. Edelbrock Renegade

Brian Mitchell showed up with only an hour to get his car ready and at the line for the second round of qualifying.  Off the trailer Brian would run a This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , taking the number two spot away from Bob Cook.  After the third round Adam Armdt's Friday night pass of This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. would stand as the number one qualifier going into Sunday with Brian and Bob as number two and three.

Strange Coyote Stock

Yesterday in the first round of qualifying Drew Lyons dumped the clutch and broke a ring gear.  Not having the proper tools to fix it, fellow Coyote Stock racer Jacob Lamb offered his tools and help getting his car back together.  Drew was quote as saying "this is my first race and already I'm enjoying the class!"  Shane Stymeist would take the number one spot with his Friday night hit running This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  Joe Charles held the number two spot going into the third qualifier.  Not satisfied with his 10.705 performance, Joe turned the wick up running This email address is being protected from spambots. John Leslie Jr who has been fighting clutch issues this weekend, ran a This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in the third round of qualifying to take the number two spot.  Looking at John's car, you will notice the LX nose is gone and replaced with a GT.  With everyone else in the class running a GT nose John though he would give it a try.  When asked if he "picked" the right nose he said yes.  Matt Amrine set the bar high when he ran 10.753 Friday night.  Today Matt ran a little quicker posting up a This email address is being protected from spambots. Granatelli 5.0L Shootout

Five cars have shown up to see who has the fastest Coyote.  Nelson Whilock would be the only car running in the 8's going into the final qualifier.  Nelson lit the board up with his quickest pass running This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. holding on to the number one spot.  Chris Cruz stepped up to the plate and picked up the pace in his third qualifier posting a This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. in the second round of qualifying.  Terry tried to turn it up on his third and final pass only to blaze the tires at the 60ft and aborted the run.
