Ebay Find: Sweet 1986 T Top Saleen Hits the Market!

October 11, 2014 by Bridgett Davis

Recently spotted on Ebay, a one of one White exterior with blue trim 1986 T- Top Saleen has rolled onto the market. With the current bidding commencing at $9,500, this unique find is in good condition by all appearances. Also one of only six T-Tops to drop off the assembly line this year, this Saleen badged horse has trekked $68,800 miles on the original 5.0 302 engine, which is still in place and in great running condition.

The Saleen, which made its entrance into the market in 1984,was designed for the Mustang enthusiast who wanted to take their driving experience to the next level. With a mind set to create a Mustang that was more manageable on the corners for road racing tracks, Steve Saleen used his track experiences to design a street legal Saleen badged variant of the third generation of the Mustang.

This find is in its original form with the exception of new exhaust system with a full mac system from the headers back and the addition of a new cold air intake. Having spent most of its life in California with the exception of the last four years, this rare Saleen T-Top has seen very little rain and has been garaged for a good majority of the time. The exterior is in good condition and is rust free and just this year took first place at the SaleenNationals in the 79 – 86 Four eyed class.

With only four days and five hours left to bid, we expect this cool find to be snatched up quickly and for bidding to possibly get spirited for those looking to add this rare find to their collection. What would you pay for this ride? And would you add this pony to your collection for the show or for those banginrides down the strip?
